POPULATION AND SERVICE AREAThe District serves 12.5 square miles and approximately 17,000 residents. The District is located approximately 30 miles southwest of Chicago in Will and Cook Counties. The Fire District covers a large portion of the Village of Mokena, small portions of the Village of Frankfort, Village of Orland Park, Village of Homer Glen and unincorporated areas of Frankfort Township. I.S.O. FIRE RATINGThe District has been awarded a Fire Rating of Class 3 by the Insurance Service Office (I.S.O.). The rating is from 1 to 10 with 1 being the best and 10 the worst. A Class 3 Fire Rating puts the District in the top 5% of all fire departments in the United States.
